Keith Parker and Inequality in AtlantaDid you know that MARTA CEO Keith Parker makes $345,000 per year, more than most public transit CEOs in the country? Meanwhile, we and our ATU brothers and sisters are struggling to keep up with the bills. This morning, we let all of Atlanta know the truth with a full page ad in the Atlanta Journal Constitution. You can see it here: http://www.atu.org/atu-pdfs/STRAT_MARTA_Ad2.pdf or by clicking here. This is what it's all about: equality and respect, two things that Keith Parker, Robbie Ashe, and the politicians who prop them up don't seem interested in when it comes to MARTA workers. That is why we need every member to volunteer and take a stand. Today we're demonstrating outside of a fundraiser for Jason Carter, who refuses to give us his support. Please meet at 119 Center Street in Avondale Estates. WHAT: Demonstration for Respect On Friday, we'll rally with the famous Nuns on the Bus in support of expanding transit in Clayton County. Contact Reggie Davis for details and to secure a ride if you need one:(404) 641-5826. WHAT: Nuns on the Bus Rally for Clayton County Transit |
